2010 DISTINCTIONS

Our Capital Markets research analysts consistently receive national recognition for the depth and caliber of their proprietary research.

Financial Times/StarMine:

Six of our Capital Markets equity research analysts were recognized for their stock selection and earnings estimation performance in a national survey by the Financial Times/StarMine.

The BB&T Capital Markets Equity Research Department was also ranked in the Financial Times/StarMine survey as No. 1 in the “Most Productive Brokers” category. This was based on having the highest number of individual award winners compared with the total number of qualifying analysts.

The Wall Street Journal:

The 18th annual Wall Street Journal “Best on the Street” survey ranked over 7,000 analysts from 500 firms. Based solely on stock-picking performance, the survey analyzed the recommendations that generated the best returns in 2009.

  • Scott D. Krasik was awarded “Top Guns” designation as one of the 10 top-performing analysts in the U.S.; he ranked No. 1 stock picker in clothing and accessories and No. 2 in the broadline and apparel retail segment.
