The BB&T Capital Markets Equity Research Department was also ranked in the Financial Times/StarMine survey as No. 1 in the “Most Productive Brokers” category. This was based on having the highest number of individual award winners compared with the total number of qualifying analysts.
The 18th annual Wall Street Journal “Best on the Street” survey ranked over 7,000 analysts from 500 firms. Based solely on stock-picking performance, the survey analyzed the recommendations that generated the best returns in 2009.
- Scott D. Krasik was awarded “Top Guns” designation as one of the 10 top-performing analysts in the U.S.; he ranked No. 1 stock picker in clothing and accessories and No. 2 in the broadline and apparel retail segment.
- Andy Wolf was No. 2 stock picker in food and drug retailing.
- Matt McCall was No. 3 stock picker in home construction and furnishings.
