Mr. Buchholz manages corporate banking relationships with public and large private clients located in North, Central and South Florida, and South Georgia. He consults with his clients and coordinates with BB&T teammates to ensure his clients have access to all equity and debt capital markets services, treasury management services and institutional services that BB&T has to offer.
He joined BB&T in 2003 as the city president in Jacksonville, Florida, and became a regional corporate banker in 2005. In 2008, he join the Capital Markets' Corporate Banking team, shortly after its formation. Prior to joining BB&T, Mr. Buchholz was employed by SunTrust Bank for over 29 years, serving in various corporate banking roles, including its equivalent of Capital Markets Corporate Banking.
Mr. Buchholz graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor of arts degree in economics.
