Cary A. Morris
Mr. Morris has been covering the Banks/Thrifts sector since 1998, following regional and community banks and thrifts. Previously, he worked for community banks for more than 15 years. Mr. Morris provides investment ideas for the retail and institutional clients of Scott & Stringfellow and BB&T.
Mr. Morris was named #3 stock picker in his industry by Financial Times/StarMine in its 2003 Analyst Awards survey. In 2002, he was named in The Wall Street Journal's 9th annual "Best on the Street" report for his stock picks in 2001 and was named “Top Stock Picker” in the banking industry by StarMine in its annual survey of analyst performance.
Mr. Morris is a graduate of the University of Richmond, where he received a bachelor of arts. He also has a master of public administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
