Mr. Mitsch, who joined BB&T Capital Markets in 2006, follows the Chemicals sector. In its "World's Top Analysts" survey recognizing the top analysts in 2010, Financial Times/StarMine named him #1 for estimate accuracy in chemicals; he has been named a top-three earnings estimator in his industry in six out of eight years. Mr. Mitsch has also been twiced named in The Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" analyst survey for stock selection (including #1 in 2004).
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mitsch followed the chemicals sector on Wall Street for more than ten years, most recently with Fulcrum Global Partners. Prior to his Wall Street career, he worked for 11 years in the chemical industry, including 2 years in Europe.
Mr. Mitsch received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology. He holds an MBA with a concentration in finance from Montclair State University.
