John C. Allen
Experience
John Allen is Co-Head of the Defense & Government Services Group. John has extensive transactional experience in public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and equity financings. He has worked on more than 75 transactions involving Fortune 500 and middle-market defense and government services companies.John was co-owner of Windsor Group, LLC before its acquisition by Scott & Stringfellow, LLC in January 2005. He also founded Windsor Capital Partners, a private equity/mezzanine fund focused on investing in middle-market defense and government services companies.
Before joining Windsor Group, John was President of Quarterdeck Investment Partners, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in providing investment banking services to aerospace and defense companies.
John is widely recognized as an industry expert and has received numerous accolades, including Investment Banker of the Year honors from the Association for Corporate Growth. He has authored numerous articles and briefed members of Congress on issues important to defense and government services companies.
John has served on the Boards of multiple organizations. Presently, he is on the Board of BB&T Capital Partners|Windsor Mezzanine Fund and Northern Virginia Family Services.
Education
John completed his MBA coursework at American University and received a BA from the University of Florida.
