Matthew (Matt) B. Gilman
As the Co-Head of the Commercial & Industrial Group, Mr. Gilman has primary business development and transaction execution responsibilities in both mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising transactions. Prior to joining BBTCM in 1997, Mr. Gilman began his career at Wheat First Butcher Singer (now Wells Fargo Securities) in corporate finance. Mr. Gilman has more than 16 years of investment banking experience that includes over 60 successfully completed M&A advisory assignments and capital-raising transactions.
Mr. Gilman operates out of BB&T Capital Markets' headquarters at Riverfront Plaza in Richmond, Virginia.
Mr. Gilman is a graduate of the Commerce School at Washington & Lee University, attaining both Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude honors.
