Patrick A. O'Shea
Mr. O’Shea serves as Head of Equity Capital Markets and in that role manages Investment Banking, Equity Origination, Institutional Sales & Trading and Equity Research. He joined BB&T Capital Markets in 2006 to start up the Equity Origination group, which is responsible for driving new-issue managed equity underwriting business onto the platform. He assumed his current role in 2007. Pat has over 25 years of investment banking and origination experience, including periods with Deutsche Bank, Alex, Brown & Sons and Salomon Brothers, along with a firm he founded in 2003, Banner Capital Markets.
Mr. O’Shea earned an MBA in 1986 from the University of Virginia’s Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1980, also from the University of Virginia.
