Rex H. Green
Experience
Mr. Green has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, private placements, public offerings, recapitalizations, management buyouts and debt structurings. In addition, Mr. Green has advised shareholders, attorneys and companies on a wide variety of complex business and finance related matters for litigation, tax and regulatory purposes. Prior to joining BB&T Capital Markets, Mr. Green served as Managing Director and head of the consumer products investment banking group at Advest, Inc. Previously Mr. Green was Partner-In-Charge of corporate finance for the New England region of KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. Mr. Green placed his tenure with Advest on hold for eighteen months while he served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration (CFO) for a venture-backed internet services business which was sold to a subsidiary of the Havas Group.
Education
Mr. Green received his MBA from The Stern School at New York University and his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has served as an expert on the valuation of privately-held businesses.
